SYNX ULTRA SKIN

THE MEGA COATED BRAID

Using the very latest hi-tech fibres and advanced polymers this stunning new hook length delivers everything you ever wanted for modern day carping. For such a low diameter the strength of this braid is remarkable. To protect the braid we encapsulate it with a tough polymer using a multi-layered process rather like a laminate, in fact no less than thirty individual layers go in to make up the final coating! This produces a very carp friendly product with an incredible super tough finish that can be used with complete confidence even in the most snag ridden swims.

Synx is perfectly balanced and designed to rest on the bottom, its unique low diameter makes it tailor made for all modern rigs. When fishing over soft silt, firm sand, clay or hard gravel this radical new hook length cannot be faulted. In trials its ultra fine diameter has proved to fool the wariest of fish whilst its armour plated coating insures the internal braid has full protection from harsh abrasive damaging snags.

The degree of stiffness and memory play a vital part for many of today’s successful rigs and their importance cannot be over stated. For instance when using chod rigs Synx will retain its curved shape even after capture. By training the line using finger and thumb the desired curve shape can quickly be reached. Even under full pressure following a capture Synx will spring back into shape. By using it straight off the spool or by removing a section of coating you have a huge range of rig options to choose from. Uni’s, Chods, Combi’s, Hinge, KD’s, Stiff and beyond, in fact the presentation possibilities of Synx are almost endless and only limited to the extent of your imagination.

Over two years in development this outstanding new product has already re-written the rule book and is ready to set the carp world alight. Even before its launch this product is already in great demand, due to its extremely lengthy manufacturing process supplies will be limited. To avoid disappointment contact your tackle dealer.

A FEW FACTS ABOUT SYNX

Newly developed materials have been used giving Synx an incredible strength/diameter ratio; they also help create a superior key and bond for the coating making it far tougher, more robust and much more difficult to remove by snags...No we are not going to tell you what they are and give the imitators the formula on a plate.

I can remove the coating but it’s not all that easy to remove...Why.

That is the intention. If you can easily remove it with your fingers so too can snags and weed, this leaves the all important internal braid (your only connection between you and the fish) open to attack. The super tough resilient finish of Synx prevents such damage. For hinge rigs and combi-links the coating can be removed as normal you just have to work at it a little bit longer.

The coating has sheen...Why?

Varnishes such as gloss types (e.g. Polyurethane) are far more durable than those with a matt finish. A matt finish coating has little very tenacity, week coatings often fracture at the knot and weed and snags can easily damage it. The multi layered almost armour plated coating on Synx has no such problems. To instantly give Synx a matt finish simply run a few strokes of fine grade wet and dry paper or wire wool along its length a couple of times. This will instantly remove the sheen without harming or weakening the coating or its strength giving you a matt finish. Without treatment Synx in all waters will naturally dull down following a few casts.

Knots

As you are aware for maximum line strength certain types of line favour specific knots. The unique structure/ formula and components of Synx ensure that full knot strength will be achieved using a wide variety of knots with no sign of loss of strength. Figure of eight knots in particular which often fracture the coating damaging and weakening many types of line can be used with complete confidence and as with many other knots will exceed the lines stated breaking strain.
